Ecstatic Dance Sanctuary is a free-form movement journey woven into a reflective meditation circle. Together, we create a sacred container where dance becomes prayer, play, and release. Guided by earth-based spirituality and the flow of feminine energy, this gathering invites you to ground, expand, and connect through music and embodied ritual.

Ecstatic dance is a free-form practice where movement unfolds naturally - without choreography, steps, or judgment. It is simply an invitation to listen to the body and allow self-expression to emerge. The practice is substance-free, phone-free, and typically non-verbal, creating space for authentic movement and presence.

What to Expect: We begin in a circle with breath, intention, and somatic rituals - such as drumming or chanting - that ground us in body, mind, and rhythm. From there, we open into approximately one hour of free-form ecstatic dance that unfolds in waves - building on the states of grounding (earth), awakening (water), exploration (air), expression (fire), and finally, stillness (space/ether). We return to a closing circle, inviting deep resonance, integration, and rest. The evening concludes with a casual mini-reception that includes light snacks, oracle cards, and community.

Who Should Attend: This offering is especially designed for adults, and open to teens 16+ accompanied by a parent or guardian. All bodies are welcome, however, the practices and rituals are especially attuned to those who resonate with the feminine, cyclical, and earth-honoring ways of being.

• What to Wear: Come prepared to move and sweat! Bring a water bottle and a light layer for warmth during our sitting and integration period, as needed. Ecstatic dance is typically danced barefoot, but soft indoor dance footwear/socks are permitted for additional support on the polished concrete dance surface.
• Please Register Before the Event: Pre-registration is kindly requested two hours before the event (typically by 4pm). Session is limited to 15 participants. 
• Minimum Registration: This gathering is rooted in shared energy and community connection. To hold the container well, we require a minimum of three registered participants. If fewer than three individuals register, the event shall pause, participants will be notified, and registrations shall be transferred to a future event so that the gathering can be enjoyed in its fullness. Thank you for your understanding.
• Scent Sensitivity: Please note that essential oils, incense/smudges, and herbal scents are present and routinely used in the studio.
